For my SDD major project (counting towards my HSC) I decided to create a program that scores gymnastics competitions. I decided to call it TAGS for TAGS Australian Gymnastics Scorer (yes, a recursive acronym).
When I started planning, the description of the program went
TAGS is a program to help the scorer of gymnastics competitions manage the scores of the competitors in the competition. TAGS will allow various information about the competition to be entered, including information about the competitors. When the judge's score is entered in to the system, the program will calculate the calculated score. TAGS will allow various reports to be printed based on the scores calculated for each competitor and other criteria such as the level of the competitor.
However now that I have gone through the development process, the description now goes
TAGS is a program to help the scorer of gymnastics competitions manage the scores of the competitors in the competition. TAGS will allow various information about the competition to be entered, including information about the competitors.
The application uses five screens:
-
The 'Edit Competition' screen
-
The 'Enter Competitors' screen
-
The 'List Competitors' screen
-
The 'Edit Competitor' screen
-
The 'Enter Scores' screen
The program includes an installer to install the program
I have also created an installation guide, which is part of the user documentation. I have extracted it to make an easy download (hence why the page numbering is different). Please excuse the squished nature of the guide, as it was required that it only takes up one page.
The user documentation includes elements from all the stages of the software development cycle factored into my project.
I have also created a self-extracting archive of all my work that I submitted. This includes the source code for my application.
TAGS Project - Self extracting archive
Hope you enjoy the program
